Education

  • Graduated from Government Medical College Thrissur in 1994. Specialised in Child Health from Institute of Maternal and Child Health at Govt Medical College, Calicut in 1997.
  • Dr Santhosh holds post graduate qualifications in Paediatrics,DCH and FRCPCH from Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health ,UK .
  • He also had successfully completed SCHP program from University of Sydney and also passed the European Board of Paediatrics examination in December 2021
  • Sub specialised in Developmental Pediatrics with PG Diploma from CDC , Trivandrum and Masters in Developmental Neurology from Tech University ,Spain
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Epidemiology from Indian Institute of Public Health ,New Delhi

Experience

  • Worked in various hospitals including Medical College , Thrissur, District Hospital , Thrissur and Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi.
  • Joined World Health Organization in 2005 in the Polio project. Have been part of Polio eradication drive in Uttar Pradesh , Bihar, West Bengal ,Kerala and Tamilnadu.
  • Current brief is surveillance for diseases in North Kerala, monitoring and reporting on Immunization programmes and implementation of vaccine campaigns including the Pulse polio and MR campaign.
  • He has been Developmental Paediatrician at AVN Centre for Developmental Neurology and Rio Hospital for Children at Madurai since 2010.
  • Worrks with children with special needs on weekends . Former Editor of IAP Neurodevelopmental Pediatrics news letter, Examiner for IAP Fellowship in Developmental Pediatrics.
  • Apart from Medicine, has published a collection of poems in English and a series of stories in Mathrubhumi online .
