IAN Vocational Rehabilitation Hosts SANTA ’24 at Amala Institute of Medical Sciences Thrissur,

IAN Vocational Rehabilitation, under the auspices of the IAN Charitable Foundations, inaugurated its highly anticipated annual fest, SANTA ’24, at the Amala Institute of Medical Sciences today. The two-day event celebrates the spirit of Christmas while showcasing the talents and creativity of specially-abled children.

 

The event was inaugurated by Fr. Shibu Puthenpurackal CMI, Joint Director of Amala Institute of Medical Sciences, in the presence of Dr. Abhilash Joseph, Chairman of the IAN Institute, and Fr. Jithin Manuel, HOD of Vocational Rehabilitation at IAN.

 

SANTA ’24, which runs from December 2 to 3, 2024, features an exhibition and sale of Christmas-themed products and other handicrafts, the majority of which have been crafted by the talented children of IAN Vocational Rehabilitation. These unique items not only celebrate the festive spirit but also highlight the dedication, creativity, and perseverance of these young artisans.

 

Speaking at the inauguration, Fr. Shibu expressed his admiration for the initiative, stating, “Events like SANTA ’24 are a testament to the incredible potential of our specially-abled children. It reminds us of the importance of inclusion and the role each of us plays in empowering them.”

 

Dr. Abhilash Joseph added, “This fest is not just about showcasing products; it’s about creating opportunities for our children to shine and connect with the community. We are grateful to Amala Institute for hosting this event and to everyone who supports this noble cause.”

 

Visitors to the fest can expect a wide range of products, including handcrafted decorations, greeting cards, and gift items, all made with love and care. Proceeds from the sales will directly benefit the children and support further initiatives by IAN Vocational Rehabilitation.
