A Journey of Love and Determination: The Story Behind IAN Institute of Rehabilitation & Research
On March 29, 2011, Dr. Abhilash Joseph and Mrs. Rosemin Abhilash’s lives were filled with immense joy as they welcomed their first child, a son they lovingly named IAN Joseph. The first three months were a blissful blur of parenthood, but their happiness was soon overshadowed by a devastating revelation – their son had cerebral palsy.
This life-altering diagnosis plunged the couple into a world of uncertainty and despair. They embarked on a relentless search for the best possible treatment and therapeutic services for their son, leaving no stone unturned. Their quest for answers led them to travel far and wide, consulting with numerous specialists and exploring every avenue of hope.
In the face of their son’s challenges, Dr. Abhilash Joseph and Mrs. Rosemin Abhilash made a life-altering decision – they would quit their jobs in the medical field and dedicate their lives to IAN’s development. With unwavering determination, they immersed themselves in the world of pediatric rehabilitation, determined to provide their son with the best possible care.
Their journey was not without its obstacles. They faced countless challenges, from financial constraints to navigating the complexities of the healthcare system. Yet, their love for IAN and their unwavering belief in his potential fueled their determination to overcome every hurdle.
Amidst their struggles, a profound realization dawned upon them – the scarcity of specialized rehabilitation centers for children with disabilities was a widespread issue. Families like theirs were struggling to access quality care, often facing long travel distances and limited treatment options.
Driven by this realization, a spark of inspiration ignited within Dr. Abhilash Joseph and Mrs. Rosemin Abhilash. They envisioned a center that would not only provide world-class rehabilitation services for children with disabilities but also serve as a beacon of hope for families seeking support and guidance.
With unwavering determination, they transformed their vision into reality. In 2012, they established the IAN Institute of Rehabilitation & Research, a haven dedicated to empowering children with disabilities to reach their full potential. The institute, named after their son, stands as a testament to their unwavering love and unwavering belief in the potential of every child.
At IAN Institute of Rehabilitation & Research, children receive personalized care tailored to their individual needs. It has become a beacon of hope for families across India, providing not only medical care but also a network of support and guidance. Dr. Abhilash Joseph and Mrs. Rosemin Abhilash’s unwavering commitment to their son has transformed the lives of countless families, inspiring them to never give up on their children’s dreams.
